Last weekend the residents of Cottage 9 “egged” Cottage 11… in a friendly, welcome way. With help from “Lola the Bunny,” they hid colorful eggs filled with candy inside and outside the cottage. The bunny helpers laughed while leaving these treasures and Lola trailed some colorful grass as a clue.

Not to be outdone, the kids from Cottage 11 “egged” Cottage 9 and Cottage 3, leaving their mark of confetti in the yard and a sign on the door: You’ve been egged! Lola plans to continue these antics until all the cottages receive candy.

Soon, the children at Elmcrest also will enjoy beautiful eggs made of crochet. A kind donor was inspired after reading about the generous donation by Jennifer Klestinez’s company that decorated one of the cottages with 3,000 lights during Christmas. This anonymous donor crafted these lovely eggs to brighten this season. Thanks to all who make every season happier for the boys and girls at Elmcrest.
