Four youth from Cottage 3 spent an overnight camping this summer at Camp Valley in Highland Forest Park, Fabius. No snack packs for this foursome; they built a fire, cooked a whole chicken for their dinner, and topped it off with Smores. Breakfast the next morning was eggs, over the campfire again.
They worked off their meals with a serious hike on the Southside Loop Trail. Staff set up a structured routine to help them organize their stay, including final cleanup. These boys experienced rustic living with a serious respect for their environment.
