We are so excited to join our friends from Excellus BlueCross BlueShield for the United Way Day of Caring event scheduled on August 3, 2023. Excellus BCBS provided Elmcrest with a generous donation to support Staff Development for our new Elmcrest Children’s Crisis Respite Center. The center which provides support to children ages 5-18 years of age, living in New York State opened on March 28, 2023. To date we have served 83 children. As a result of this funding, we were able to recruit, hire, and train the staff needed to successfully open our doors to serve children who were experiencing a mental health crisis. We can’t thank Excellus BCBS enough for providing these funds and for choosing to support Elmcrest for the day of caring event. Together we will make an impact in the communities we serve.
