That’s a big NO – at least for now. But next winter, the boys and girls at Elmcrest will be waiting for the white flakes to fall so they can use some new gifts.
Recently, these two young women brought sleds, snow pants, and snowball makers to the Elmcrest campus. Audrey Liebhaber (left in photo) is a junior engineering student at Syracuse University where Leah Poland (right in photo) is a junior business major.
Last January, Audrey applied for a grant from the national organization of their service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega. The Youth Service Grant was awarded to them this Spring. They used the money to purchase items requested for the children at Elmcrest.
Thanks to Audrey and Leah, the boys and girls in residence can look forward to winter fun.
Just not too soon!
