Moving Up Day is a notable time for students and teachers alike. Reflecting on the past school year means celebrating successes and gaining recognition for hard work and dedication to learning. At Elmcrest, student awards reflecte the amazing progress our kids have made, from our early education youngsters to our graduating seniors.
Four students are moving on to career opportunities, two enrolled in college, one pursuing skilled trade, and one beginning employment. Honor roll required a GPA of 84.5 and 12 students made this list, while another 15 received Merit Awards for a 70.5 to 84.5 GPA.
All this came with a shout out to the dedicated teachers who guided the children’s academics while instilling character building traits. They also encourage interest in the arts, inspiring several to stage a play on friendship and being together.
