Providing new experiences for our kids here at Elmcrest part of our year round programming. And our Elmcrest friend, Brewster Sears, has been doing just that for the last few years. Every week, throughout the summer and into the fall, he takes a group of kids out on Skaneateles Lake for some fishing and fun on his Windjammer.
While every fishing trip does not guarantee catching a fish, what it does provide is lessons in patience, time out in the natural beauty of Central New York and experiencing first-hand the kindness of people in the community. Our kids have come back to Elmcrest with wonderful stories of fishing, swimming and (sometimes) photos of an amazing catch. Brewster teaches our children that there will always be people who will encourage and believe in them. And that’s the best part of all. Thank you, Brewster!
