We're voting at Elmcrest

Poll Site Manager Carole Fisher answers questions from two voters at Elmcrest Tuesday morning.

Elmcrest Children's Center has been supporting the foundations of a strong community in Central New York since 1845. Today and for the last few years years, that support has included hosting one of the the area's many voting places.

Carole Fisher, poll site manager, said she has been very impressed with the voting location - Elmcrest's gymnasium - and the people she's worked with to make sure it runs smoothly.

"It's very  clean and everything is accessible," Carole said. "The faciilty itself is very well maintained. The grounds here always look great."

Carole said the line to vote at Elmcrest was fairly long when the site opened. A glitch with the machine used to check voters in didn't help, but once that was fixed, most visitors could vote without any waiting.
