Mischief Maker No More
Last month’s writing contest called for imagining the deeds of a mischievous leprechaun who wreaked havoc at Elmcrest. Stories were judged by 18 staff persons and six board members. The winner actually encountered the leprechaun who regretted her earlier misdeeds, apologized, and became the good leprechaun, “Lady Green.” In fact, she was so welcome that she stayed for sleepovers and played video games with the other children. Eight students entered this contest, and each created a fascinating account of what this impish visitor might do. The winning entry was the creative inspiration of Green Lady’s C.C. (Co-Conspirator).
