Respite at Casey's Place
Casey's Place, located in Syracuse, provides short-term respite services for Central New York children and youth, up to age 22, who have developmental disabilities and/or complex medical conditions.
Located in Syracuse, N.Y., Casey's Place provides a break for caregivers while providing a safe, nurturing environment assisting children in developing socialization skills, peer relationships and independent living skills in a home setting and the community.
Respite programs include:
- Overnight Weekend
- School Holiday Breaks
- Friday Teen Night
- Summer Day Program
- Summer Overnight Program
Admission to the respite programs require New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (NYS OPWDD) eligibility and enrollment in the Home and Community Based Medicaid Waiver or the OPWDD Care at Home Waiver.
Referrals from Onondaga County and surrounding counties are made to the New York State Developmental Disabilities Regional Office (NYS DDRO) by Medicaid Service Coordination Agencies.
