Date: Friday, June 6th - 12:30 pm shotgun
Location: Rogues Roost Golf & Country Club
The 23rd annual Kimbers Invitational Golf Tournament was held at Rogues Roost on Friday, June 6th. 240 of the areas "greatest" golfers scattered throughout the East and West courses for a 12:30 pm shotgun start.
On the West Course, with a score of 64, there was a three-way tie between the Honorable James Tormey's foursome, the Deli-Boy team of Scott George, and the Harris Beach Law Firm squad of Jim Muldoon. Steve Snyder's team won a skin with a birdie on the difficult par 3 14th.
On the East Course, with the low round of the day 58, Terry Tormey's foursome came out on top, and Alan Ianuzzi's team from W.B. Mason won a skin with an eagle on the par 5 13th.
The ever popular 'Copter Drop Raffle was held and raised a good deal of money for the Center. Don "Big Daddy" Brang and his hovering helicopter dropped some 800 numbered golf balls on a practice green to the cheers of all onlookers. The three closest balls to the pin gave the lucky winners incremental percentages of the pot and the rest went to the Elmcrest kids.
Elmcrest would like to thank Gary Bobbett for his tireless efforts - for 23 years! - Thank you to all for a great day!
