Waterford Wood Individualized Residential Alternative (IRA)
The residence at Waterford Wood in Fayetteville, New York, is home to five young men with developmental disabilities. This residential setting is an Individualized Residential Alternative (IRA) program that provides young men an opportunity to develop social, daily living and recreational skills designed to foster independence at home and in the community. Peer and family relationships are strengthened, recreational activities are encouraged, and life experiences are explored.
Admission to the residence at Waterford Wood is based on eligibility from the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (NYS OPWDD) and enrollment in the Home and Community Based Medicaid Waiver.
Referrals are made through the New York State Developmental Disabilities Regional Office (NYS DDRO) and Medicaid Service Coordinators (MSC).
